Gabriela reyes Fuchs

Born in Mexico City, Gabriela Reyes Fuchs is an acclaimed cinematographer and inventor whose work seamlessly merges her education and interests on art, science, and visual poetry.

Her groundbreaking scientific discovery—capturing light phenomena in human remains—was selected by Mexico’s National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) through its 2015 Grant for Cultural Projects and Co-Investments. This innovation has earned her multiple accolades.

She has also been awarded Best Cinematography at the Assian Short Film Festival 2016 for the short film Mura-Mura.

She is also the founder of Innerstela, a photographic project rooted in her patented method of microscopy applied to human remains.
